Bicycle Blended Soap - What is it?
Just Soap is good for you and good for the earth. Just soaps are crafted using the traditional cold batch process. This method preserves the nutritive benefits of the oils and retains the natural glycerin commonly removed from commercial soaps, creating a rich, gentle lather. No synthetic perfumes or chemical hardeners - just the purest vegetable oils, essential oils, and organic herbs and spices, blended together to create a mild and moisturizing bar. We carry the following bicycle soap: Lavender Rosemary, Cinnamon Clove, Oatmeal Honey, Lemongrass Ginger and a Gift Box of Five Bars.

Just Soap is never tested on animals, biodegradeable, all natural, and minimally packaged. Though these bars are all natural, certain essential oils may be irritating to some people. Please discontinue use if you experience irritation. As with all soaps, please avoid contact with eyes.

Why Use a Bicycle to Blend Soap?
Traditional soap making demands hours of stirring! So founder Frederick Breeden - a cycling enthusiast and environmentalist - had plenty of time to dream up a more efficient and eco-friendly method of mixing the soap. He shared his vision with a bicycle builder, and the result is a one-of-a-kind bicycle-powered soap blender. "I used to make the soap by hand stirring and found that it was taking me so . long and I could only process 80 pounds of soap at a time. I love to bike and it dawned on me that legs are much stronger then arms and so why not try to mix the soap with a bicycle. That was the idea and I searched for a bicycle builder who would help me design and build the contraption I now use."

Here's how it works: The bicycle drives a belt that turns a blade in a large stainless steel vat, where the purest are stirred together - saponified olive, coconut and palm oils, essential oils, and organic herbs and spices. Once the ingredients start to thicken, the magic of soap making has begun, and the mixture is poured into wooden frames to set. A few days later, the bars are cut with a wooden press, and cured for over two months to ensure a long-lasting bar.
